I have always loved miniatures, from the tiny doll house furniture and accessories my
older sisters made for me as a child, to a lifelong love of small and vulnerable wild
animals and pets. In 2024 I decided to try creating tiny paintings, inspired by the
detailed work my father did by hand with tiny brushes, as one of the first commercial
photo re-touchers in New York City nearly 100 years ago. I started with creating tiny
paintings to insert inside glass coaster frames intended for photos, then I found painting
on little wooden trays was even more fun!
